Going the Extra Mile
We’re always in awe (and quite frankly, exhausted!) by the lengths our supporters go to raise funds.
From running ultramarathons, taking on personal challenges, volunteering or delivering, you continue to show up for families across London in incredible ways.
The Windsor Ultra: Challenge Accepted
In April, Richard, alongside his daughters and friend Emma, took on the Windsor Ultra Marathon to raise funds for Food Bank Aid. After months of training, determination (and undoubtedly sore legs), they completed the challenge while raising vital support for local food projects.
Next Stop, Making a Difference
13-year-old Soloman has set himself an ambitious goal: visiting every city in the UK with a tram system, and riding all the stops, to raise sponsorship for Food Bank Aid! He’s already smashed his £1,000 target, an incredible achievement, and we’re wishing Solomon and his team lots of luck— and plenty of snacks along the way.
Feeling inspired?
If you’ve ever thought about taking on your own challenge – sporty, creative, workplace-based or completely unique – we’d love to help make it happen.
We can provide fundraising support, sponsorship materials, T-shirts and ideas to get you started.
You can also join upcoming events like our Pier to Pier Walk from Eastbourne to Brighton this September, or the Here-to-Here Challenge, which you could complete from anywhere – your own garden, if you wanted to!
