Celebrating the People Behind Food Bank Aid During Volunteers’ Week

During Volunteers’ Week, we took the opportunity to celebrate the incredible people who make Food Bank Aid possible. Every day, our volunteers generously give their time, energy and expertise to support communities facing food poverty.

Whether they’re picking, packing, sorting donations, driving deliveries, loading vans or helping us make sense of the data behind our work, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their dedication enables us to provide vital support to our network of food banks and the thousands of people who rely on them.

Volunteers’ Week is a reminder that behind every food parcel and every delivery is a community of people choosing to make a difference. Their kindness, commitment and compassion help strengthen communities and ensure support reaches those who need it most.

Summer Interns

This summer, we were also delighted to welcome four wonderful American interns for six weeks as part of their Summer Semester in the UK. A huge thank you to Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Colin and Dylan for generously volunteering their time and sharing their skills with us. We are also grateful to Anglo Educational Services (Anglo-ES) for partnering with us once again and making this opportunity possible.
